The company has also informed us that this process of winding up will take 3 months and in the meantime, they are providing their employees a 3-month runway where they will be at-will employees at Hawkfish and will receive their salaries and benefits till they secure another job. It is done to give their employees enough time to find a job for themselves without incurring a loss.
Hawkfish was considered the key driver for Bloomberg’s presidential campaign. According to the sources, though, Bloomberg dropped out of the race because of not winning any Democratic primary or caucus, but he still dumped another 35 million dollars into the firm to prop up Joe Biden’s campaign.
While Biden has declined to directly cooperate with Hawkfish due to some internal concerns, the company still spent millions on outside support for the former Vice president.
