Several videos went viral of individuals celebrating in the streets of Tokyo. Fans back home in Shibuya in Tokyo were celebrating the historic FIFA world cup win against Germany. Japan heeded Saudi Arabia against Argentina as the Samurai Blues defeated four-time World Champions Germany. After the historic win, there were endless videos of Japanese fans from all over the world celebrating the historic win against Germany.
After the match was over, as is a tradition, the Japanese fans even cleaned up the stadium. This is not the first time at the FIFA World Cup that Japanese fans have cleaned up the stands after their hometown’s team won against Germany in Qatar FIFA World Cup. Takuma Asano and Ritsu Doan scored as Japan started their campaign with a historic victory against the four-time winner, Germany at the Khalifa International Stadium in Qatar.

After their players won the historic World Cup against Germany on the pitch, the Japanese fans showered their love by staying behind and cleaning the stand. Not just this, but the winner of the FIFA World Cup also cleaned their dressing room after the historic win against Germany. After the match was finished, several celebration videos went viral and fans celebrated the win in the streets of Shibuya.
This is not the first time Japanese fans and the team have been praised for their action at a FIFA World Cup. They had earned many admirers from across the globe for the same reason at the last match of the football tournament in Russia as well. The team and fans had cleaned the stand and dressing room even after a disheartening 3-2 defeat against Belgium in the last match.
According to a report carried out by the BBC, some Japanese fans stayed put to clean after the football tournament opener between Ecuador and Qatar. During the match, late goals by alternates Takuma Asano and Ritsu Doan delivered Japan a historic World Cup victory. Four-times winners Germany had peeked to be moving to a routine win via Ilkay Guendogan’s during the first-half penalty, however, paid a catastrophic price for vice in front of the goal.
The jaw-dropper outcome was a recurrence of their 2018 World Cup misery when, as supporting champions, they failed their opener to Mexico and, after another loss by South Korea, were condemned to a group-stage exit.
