Pax8, the provider of the platforms that makes it easy for IT firms to incorporate provisioning and billing on various cloud applications, today announced that they raise 96 million dollars in additional equity. The company has also acquired a UK-based cloud consulting firm Wirehive. Though, the terms of the deal are not disclosed yet.
The main goal behind this is to reduce the issues IT service firms encounter when availing cloud services on behalf of their customers. With this change, now they will get a platform where they can easily manage subscriptions to different cloud services and SaaS ( software as a service) applications.
Wirehive will help IT service firms by providing a bench of cloud computing experts that they can rely on when they want cloud base IT solutions, instead of hiring full-time employees.

The consulting firm currently has 30 employees who are focusing exclusively on complex cloud projects and has many years of expertise.
According to Pax8 Chief Revenue Officer Nicky Heddy, by relying on external expertise Small IT firms can cost-effectively compete with larger rivals.
Most firms face the challenge of hiring and retaining IT professionals. Though, there is no shortage of talent and skills out there. But only a few of them have the expertise required in specific areas, such as cloud security or computing. But a platform like this gives them a chance to increase their IT personnels whenever needed giving them an edge over their rivals.
