CEO Mike Lu has not denied that they inflate the number of their users. After one week the news came out, Mike Lu broke his silence and said to the billboard there is no clear definition of MAU ( Monthly Active Users) or DAU (Daily Active Users) and that they focus more on monetizing users, not on MAU or DAU.

The CEO in another interview has downright denied that they inflate their users and said we are more focused on other things.
After this, Universal music group has also accused Triller of withholding the payments of music artists that have their music on their app. In response, Triller claimed that their deal with Universal Music group has expired and they have been waiting to reach a new agreement.
